Mary TV: August 17, 2017 Reflection - Forgive yourselves, forgive others...

 (c) Mateo Ivankovic 2017

August 17, 2017

Dear Family of Mary!
July 2, 2009 "Dear children! I am calling you because I need you. I need hearts ready for immeasurable love. Hearts that are not burdened by vanity. Hearts that are ready to love as my Son loved, that are ready to sacrifice themselves as my Son sacrificed Himself. I need you. In order to come with me, forgive yourselves, forgive others and adore my Son. Adore Him also for those who have not come to know Him, those who do not love Him. Therefore, I need you. Therefore, I call you. Thank you."

Our Lady tells us in this message that in order to come with her we have to forgive. She needs us to come with her. She is moving out to vanquish the enemy in these days and she needs her children to come with her. But we cannot come if we are burdened by vanity, unable to love, unable to forgive and be reconciled. We will not sacrifice ourselves if we are hanging on to unforgiveness, resentment, pride, jealousy, envy, etc. Forgiveness is incredibly important in releasing us from all our burdens and sins.

"Forgive yourselves, forgive others and adore my Son..." This is the formula for peace, for inner strength and purpose, for the freedom to follow Our Lady in these days.

Fr. Vojtech Kodet, O. Carm. wrote a powerful prayer of Contrition in his Novena to Our Lady, Untier of Knots. I have shared this prayer already, but I feel it is a prayer to be said every day for the rest of our lives. So here it is!!

Act of Contrition and Prayer Asking for Conversion

My Lord, I am heartily sorry for my sins;
Purify my heart with Your Holy Blood
I pray for Your Mercy;
Grant me the grace of a new conversion.
My Lord, By the power of Your Cross,
I wish to forgive every person who has hurt me.
Shortly before Your Death You prayed,
Father, forgive the, for they do not know what they are doing."
Merciful Lord,
Teach me mercy even when that seems to be impossible
I renounce every temptation to harden my heart;
I want to find no anger in my heart, no bitterness, no self-pity.
I renounce every desire to get even and to condemn;
I desire to bless everyone who in any way has harmed me.
I pray to be forgiven for everything I ever did to harm someone else,
Even those I harmed without knowing it.
My Lord,
Remove my heart of stone and give me a new heart, a heart of flesh.
Fill it with your humility and meekness;
Soften it with your mercy.
I fervently implore You,
Give me the Holy Spirit,
So that I might know how to love You and my neighbor,
so that I might fight the good fight and always choose to do what it truly good.
Grant that I not trust in my own strength alone
and that I not let disappointment quench my hope,
That hope that is anchored in Your strength and Your love.
Amen.
(From "Novena to Mary, Untier of Knots, by Vojtech Kodet, O.Carm. - Catholic Book Publishing Corp. New Jersey)
Lord, please hear our prayer and give us hearts of flesh to love you and to forgive and love ourselves and our neighbors. Amen, Amen, Amen!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: August 16, 2017 Reflection - My Son is always with you...

 (c) Mateo Ivankovic 2017

St. Stephen of Hungary

Dear Family of Mary!

Here is a beautiful message from Our Lady in which she spoke very deeply about our relationship to the Jesus in the Eucharist:
May 02, 2016 "Dear children, my motherly heart desires your true conversion and a firm faith so that you may be able to spread love and peace to all those who surround you. But, my children, do not forget: each of you is a unique world before the Heavenly Father. Therefore, permit the continuous working of the Holy Spirit to work on you. Be my spiritually pure children. In spirituality is beauty. Everything that is spiritual is alive and very beautiful. Do not forget that in the Eucharist, which is the heart of faith, my Son is always with you. He comes to you and breaks bread with you; because, my children, for your sake He died, He resurrected and is coming anew. These words of mine are familiar to you because they are the truth, and the truth does not change. It is only that many of my children have forgotten it. My children, my words are neither old nor new, they are eternal. Therefore, I invite you, my children, to observe well the signs of the times, to 'gather the shattered crosses' and to be apostles of the revelation. Thank you."

In this message Our Lady encourages us to be centered on our relationship with Jesus through receiving Him in the Eucharist. She says, "Do not forget that in the Eucharist, which is the heart of faith, my Son is always with you. He comes to you and breaks bread with you; because, my children, for your sake He died, He resurrected and is coming anew." How often do I forget that Jesus has come to me in the Eucharist? How long do I adore Him in my heart after Holy Communion? Do I realize that Jesus comes to break bread with me and bring the Father and the Holy Spirit with Him, to dwell in my heart?

St. Faustina wrote about her experience of receiving Holy Communion:

486. Jesus, when You come to me in Holy Communion, You who, together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, have deigned to dwell in the little heaven of my heart, I try to keep You company throughout the day, I do not leave You alone for even a moment. Although I am in the company of other people or with our wards, my heart is always united to Him. When I am asleep I offer Him every beat of my heart; when I awaken I immerse myself in Him without saying a word. When I awaken I adore the Holy Trinity for a short while and thank God for having deigned to give me yet another day, that the mystery of the incarnation of His Son may once more be repeated in me, and that once again His sorrowful Passion may unfold before my eyes. I then try to make it easier for Jesus to pass through me to other souls. I go everywhere with Jesus; His presence accompanies me everywhere.  (Saint Faustina's Diary, 486)

Maybe St. Faustina's example will help us to begin to realize that we are each "a unique world before the Heavenly Father." Maybe we will allow Jesus, together with the Father and the Holy Spirit to "dwell in the little heaven of [our] heart[s]" throughout the day, and we will never leave them alone. Think what a difference it would make. We might become Apostles of the Revelation!

Mary TV: August 15, 2017 Reflection - The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

 (c) Mateo Ivankovic 2017

J.M.J.
August 15, 2017
The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven

Dear Family of Mary!

Today is the great Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven!! Rejoice!!

Here is a prayer written by Pope Pius XII, who declared the Dogma of the Assumption in 1950! He ushered in a new era of Mary with that declaration, the Age of the Assumption, which brings the cure for all the atheism and despair of our time. Mary, assumed into Heaven, body and soul, is now interceding through and with Jesus to the Father for our salvation. What have we to fear!

In Honor of the Assumption
O Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God and Mother of men.
We believe with all the fervor of our faith in your triumphal Assumption, both in body and soul, into heaven, where you are acclaimed as Queen by all the choirs of angels and all the legions of saints; and we unite with them to praise and bless the Lord who has exalted you above all other pure creatures, and to offer you the tribute of our devotion and our love.
We know that your gaze, which on earth watched over the humble and suffering humanity of Jesus, is filled in heaven with the vision of that Humanity glorified, and with the vision of Uncreated Wisdom; and that the joy of your soul in the direct contemplation of the adorable Trinity causes your heart to throb with overwhelming tenderness.
And we, poor sinners, whose body weighs down the flight of the soul, beg you to purify our hearts, so that, while we remain here below, we may learn to see God, and God alone, in the beauties of His creatures.
We trust that your merciful eyes may deign to glance down upon our miseries and our sorrows, upon our struggles and our weaknesses; that your countenance may smile upon our joys and our victories; that you may hear the voice of Jesus saying to you of each one of us, as He once said to you of His beloved disciple: behold thy son.
And we who call upon you as our Mother, like John, take you as the guide, strength, and consolation of our mortal life.
We are inspired by the certainty that your eyes which wept over the earth, watered by the Blood of Jesus, are yet turned toward this world, held in the clutch of wars, persecutions, and oppression of the just and the weak.
And from the shadows of this vale of tears, we seek in your heavenly assistance and tender mercy comfort for our aching hearts and help in the trials of the Church and of our fatherland.
We believe, finally, that in the glory where you reign, clothed with the sun and crowned with the stars, you are, after Jesus, the joy and gladness of all the angels and of all the saints.
And from this earth, over which we tread as pilgrims, comforted by our faith in the future resurrection, we look to you, our life, our sweetness, and our hope; draw us onward with the sweetness of your voice, that one day, after our exile, you may show us Jesus, the blessed Fruit of your womb, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. (Pope Pius X11, 1950)

Mary TV: August 14, 2017 Reflection - The Age of the Assumption

 (c) Mateo Ivankovic 2017

J.M.J.
August 14, 2017
St. Maximilian Kolbe

Dear Family of Mary!

(I wrote this reflection in 2015! I am re-sending it today because it is so important for us in these days!!)

Tomorrow is the Feast of the Assumption. I always think it is so great the St. Maximilian Kolbe's feast day is the day before the Assumption. He must love it too! I wanted to share something with you about the Assumption as we prepare for the feast. For some reason, as I prayed I felt drawn to a book I read quite a while ago, "The World's First Love, Mary, Mother of God" by Archbishop Fulton J Sheen. I looked through the Contents, and found the chapter on the Assumption. And when I began to read it, I saw that I had underlined almost every word of that chapter! It is a blockbuster!

But the last few paragraphs are really pertinent for us because Sheen points to something in a prophetic way that we are experiencing. "The World's First Love" was written in 1952, only two years after the Dogma of the Assumption was declared by Pope Pius XII. And yet, Sheen seems to see the plan of God in that declaration. Let's listen to him:

Within three decades the definition of the Assumption will cure the pessimism and despair of the modern world. Freud, who did so much to develop this pessimism, took as his motto; "If I cannot move the Gods on high, I shall set all hell in an uproar." That uproar which he created will now be stilled by a Lady as powerful as an "army drawn up in battle array." The age of the "body beautiful" will now become the age of the Assumption.

In Mary there is a triple transition. In the Annunciation we pass from the holiness of the Old Testament to the holiness of Christ. At Pentecost we pass from the holiness of the historical Christ to the holiness of the Mystical Christ or His Body, which is the Church. Mary here received the Spirit for a second time. The first overshadowing was to give birth to the Head of the Church: this second overshadowing is to give birth to His Body as she is in the midst of the Apostles abiding in prayer. The third transition is the Assumption, as she becomes the first human person to realize the historical destiny of the faithful as members of Christ's Mystical Body, beyond time, beyond death, and beyond judgment.

Mary is always in the vanguard of humanity. She is compared to Wisdom, presiding at creation; she is announced as the woman who will conquer Satan, as the Virgin who will conceive. She becomes the first person since the Fall to have a unique and unrepeatable kind of union with God; she mothers the infant Christ in Bethlehem; she mothers the Mystical Christ at Jerusalem; and now, by her Assumption, she goes ahead like her Son to prepare a place for us. She participates in the glory of her son, reigns with Him, presides at His side over the destinies of the Church in time, and intercedes for us to Him, as He, in His turn, intercedes to the Heavenly Father.

Adam came before Eve chronologically. The new Adam, Christ, comes after the new Eve, Mary, chronologically, although existentially He preceded her as the Creator a creature. By stressing for the moment only the time element, Mary always seems to be the advent of what is in store for man. She anticipates Christ for nine months, as she bears Heaven within her; she anticipates His Passion at Cana and His Church at Pentecost. Now, in the last great doctrine of the Assumption, she anticipates Heavenly glory, and the definition comes at a time when men think of it least.

One wonders if this could not be the last of the great truths of Mary to be defined by the Church. Anything else might seem to be an anticlimax after she is declared to be in Heaven, body and soul. But actually there is one other truth left to be defined, and that is that she is the Mediatrix, under her Son, of all graces. As St. Paul speaks of the Ascension of Our Lord as the prelude to His intercession for us, so we fittingly, should speak of the Assumption of Our Lady as a prelude to her intercession for us. First, the place, Heaven; then the function, intercession. The nature of her role is not to call her Son's attention to some need, in an emergency unnoticed by Him, nor is it to "win" a difficult consent. Rather it is to unite herself to His compassionate Mercy and give a human voice to His Infinite Love. The main ministry of Mary is to incline men's hearts to obedience to the will of her Divine Son. Her last recorded words at Cana are still her words in the Assumption; "Whatsoever He shall say to you, that do ye."

Archbishop Sheen clearly sees that Mary, in her Assumption, is the key to our age of despair. In Mary, humanity has hope. In her Assumption, life again has meaning. We are not creatures without souls, and without an eternal future. We are called to live forever with our God, who loves us, and Mary shows us the way.

I also find it interesting that in 1952 Archbishop Sheen would project that in three decades after the Dogma was declared "the definition of the Assumption will cure the pessimism and despair of the modern world." This is a huge claim. Sheen died in 1979, just shy of the three decades. What came next he could not have foreseen. Our Lady came to Medjugorje in 1981 and since then has been curing pessimism and despair in millions of her children. Through her presence, her messages and her intercession, Mary is reversing the terrible curse of atheism and despair in the world, one person at a time.

I believe that Our Lady in Medjugorje has set up camp, declaring that she is with us in our fight against Satan and all evil. She is with us to help us draw close to her Son and to learn to live Him. She is with us in these days to be Jesus' compassionate Mercy for us. She intercedes in our midst, in Medjugorje, to bring about the Kingdom of Heaven in us. The Dogma of the Assumption is bearing great fruit in our day, as Sheen said. It is curing pessimism and despair, and bringing us heaven through Our Lady's presence in Medjugorje!! If Sheen is right and Mary is the advent of all of God's great works, the Incarnation, the Passion, the Birth of the Church, and now Heavenly Glory, then her coming to Medjugorje must be the advent of the coming of her Son. She is here to prepare the way for His coming!

Mary TV: August 11, 2017 Reflection -Homework in anticipation of the Assumption

St. Clare

Dear Family of Mary!

We are approaching the Feast of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven, August 15. I want to give you all some homework this weekend in anticipation of this powerful feast of Our Lady. Below is my reflection for the Assumption in 2016. Please read the article by Fr. Paul Scalia that I included (see the link below). It is a good way to begin to ponder this Feast and be ready for the graces!

August 15, 1985 "Dear children! Today I am blessing you and I wish to tell you that I love you and that I urge you to live my messages. Today I am blessing you with the solemn blessing that the Almighty grants me. Thank you for having responded to my call."

In this simple message given on the Feast of the Assumption in 1985, Our Lady showed her love. She blessed all those who were receiving her message. And she told us that she loves us. In her love she longed for us all to live her messages. She urged us! Why? Because she knew that in her messages we would find the way to peace, to unity with God and with each other. Her messages have continued to be a source of protections and salvation for us. She is drawing us back to her Son in these turbulent times. And then she blessed us with a "solemn blessing" given to her by the Father. Wow!! We want her solemn blessing today!!

I read an incredible article about Our Lady and her role in these days, written by Fr. Paul Scalia, the son of Chief Justice Antonin Scalia. Fr. Scalia obviously has his father's intellect, fueled by much study, and an inner compass that leads him to the depths of the truth. This article, in a few words, reveals the role of Mary in our world today! It will amaze you.

Mary TV: August 10, 2017 Reflection - Redemption is love and love has no end.

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children!  According to the will of the Heavenly Father, as the mother of Him who loves you, I am here with you to help you to come to know Him and to follow Him. My Son has left you His foot-prints to make it easier for you to follow Him....Apostles of my love, harken to my voice within you, feel my motherly love. Therefore, pray, pray by doing, pray by giving, pray with love, pray in work and thoughts, in the name of my Son. All the more love that you give, so much more of it you will also receive. Love which emanates from love illuminates the world. Redemption is love, and love has no end..." (August 2, 2017)

St. Faustina lived the love with emanates from love. She helped to illuminate the world with the Mercy of God. Our Lady is calling us to the same love, that love for Jesus that never ends...

(1426) Christ, give me souls. Let anything You like happen to me, but give me souls in return. I want the salvation of souls. I want souls to know Your mercy. I have nothing left for myself, because I have given everything away to souls, with the result that on the day of judgment I will stand before you empty-handed, since I have given everything away to souls. Thus You will have nothing on which to judge me, and we shall meet on that day: Love and mercy.....

(1427) Hidden Jesus, life of my soul,
Object of my ardent desire,
Nothing will stifle Your love in my heart.
The power of our mutual love assures me of that.

Hidden Jesus, glorious pledge of my resurrection,
All my life is concentrated in You.
It is You, O Host, who empower me to love forever,
And I know that You will love me as Your child in return.
Hidden Jesus, my purest love,
My life with You has begun already here on earth,
And it will become fully manifest in the eternity to come,
Because our mutual love will never change.

Hidden Jesus, sole desire of my soul,
You alone are to me more than the delights of heaven.
My soul searches for You only, who are above all gifts and graces,
You who come to me under the form of bread.

Hidden Jesus, take at last to Yourself my thirsting heart
Which burns for You with the pure fire of the Seraphim.
I go through life in Your footsteps, invincible,
With head held high, like a knight, feeble maid though I be.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Mary TV: August 9, 2017 Reflection - Receive Our Lady's words in peace!

 (c) Mateo Ivankovic 2017

August 9, 2017
St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross

Dear Family of Mary!

Our Lady's message of August 2, 2017 came during the Youth Festival. Now that the festival is over we can take time to really pray over this message, since it is filled with light! Let's take some time with it, slowly reading it over and letting Our Lady's love penetrate our hearts. Our fast today will help us to receive her words as well!

"Dear children!  According to the will of the Heavenly Father, as the mother of Him who loves you, I am here with you to help you to come to know Him and to follow Him. My Son has left you His foot-prints to make it easier for you to follow Him.

Do not be afraid. Do not be uncertain, I am with you. Do not permit yourselves to be discouraged because much prayer and sacrifice are necessary for those who do not pray, do not love and do not know my Son. You help, by seeing your brothers in them.

Apostles of my love, harken to my voice within you, feel my motherly love.

Therefore, pray, pray by doing, pray by giving, pray with love, pray in work and thoughts, in the name of my Son. All the more love that you give, so much more of it you will also receive. Love which emanates from love illuminates the world. Redemption is love, and love has no end.

When my Son comes to the earth anew, He will look for love in your hearts. My children, many are the acts of love which He has done for you. I am teaching you to see them, to comprehend them and to thank Him by loving Him and always anew forgiving your neighbors. Because to love my Son means to forgive. My Son is not loved if the neighbor cannot be forgiven, if there is not an effort to comprehend the neighbor, if he is judged.

My children, of what use is your prayer if you do not love and forgive? Thank you." (August 2, 2017)

Mary TV: August 8, 2017 Reflection - The Eucharistic Lord

J.M.J.
August 8, 2017
St. Dominic

Dear Family of Mary!
"...My motherly desire is for all of my children to be united in love for Jesus. Therefore, I am calling you, my apostles, to live the Eucharist with joy, because in the Eucharist my Son gives Himself to you anew and with His example shows the love and sacrifice towards the neighbor. Thank you." (April 2, 2015)

Today I want to share an astounding testimony given by a newly ordained Priest from Ireland in Medjugorje!!

English Homily in Medjugorje for August 7, 2017 (http://marytv.tv/?page_id=192 ):
It's a great joy to be here with you all in this beautiful place. My name is Fr. Michael Donnelly. I'm originally from Armagh, Ireland. And I am part of a religious community called "The Missionaries of the Most Holy Eucharist". And I am just six weeks newly ordained a priest by the mercy of God.
So just briefly what I would like to share with you today is really a short testimony. My vocation is a fruit of this place, Medjugorje. It was in 2011 that I first came here. I came here with my mother and my brother. I was very much someone who was searching. I knew very little about our Catholic faith. I had been going to Mass every Sunday, but I didn't understand the Mass or the Catholic faith.

I came to Medjugorje here, and I had a real powerful encounter with Christ. It was a most beautiful encounter and I know that the Blessed Mother Mary, she took me here along with my brother as well, who had a powerful encounter with the Lord. It was the 19th of August. I remember it was so intense. I was sitting just over there, the 19th of August at 20 past 10:00, on a Friday. The priest was giving his homily. And just whatever he said, and for everything I heard and the people I met...I was so aware of God and His presence. The Holy Spirit penetrated to the very depths of my heart. It was so, so intense.

And what came from this was my Eucharistic Faith. From that moment I had the knowledge that Jesus Christ was truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Something that I never knew. I couldn't remember in my heart any time when I truly knew that it was Jesus Christ truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. The Living God!

And also our Blessed Mother Mary as well. I got a relationship with her. Because when I came here I was praying to her but I couldn't understand why one woman was being given so much veneration as was given to our Blessed Mother Mary. It was in that moment I just knew that she is the Mother of God and she's my mother.

The first thing I did was go over to the statue after Mass, and I apologized to our Blessed Mother and I said, "Mother, please, help me to love you the way you want me to love you."

So when I left Medjugorje I felt the Lord call me very strongly to be a priest. But before I came to Medjugorje I had just been engaged a month before. But after I came to Medjugorje, two weeks later the engagement was off.

When I knew that Jesus was present in the Blessed Sacrament, I liked to go to Mass every day and receive the Divine Flesh, the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord, Jesus Christ into my heart, every day. At Mass I could go and listen to the Word of God, Every day. I could go spend time with Jesus in Eucharistic Adoration every day. My whole life was changed.

And the Lord has drawn me ever deeper into His Eucharistic Heart. That is what we all long for. We all long for Jesus. Our faith is a Eucharistic faith. It is the faith that we get at Baptism. But it needs to be nourished. We need to spend time with Jesus. It is only Jesus who will satisfy us. You know, it says "All those who ate were satisfied." It is only Jesus in the Holy Eucharist who will satisfy us.

When we received the Eucharist it calls us into that sacrificial love. We live no longer for ourselves but for Christ. It is only through the Eucharist that we are able to live the heroic virtues of Charity. Of loving our enemies. Forgiving those who have hurt us. To love those who cause suffering upon us. To live the life of chastity. Only through the Eucharist. To have patience in times of suffering and difficulty. Only through the Eucharist.

St. John Paul the Great said we must be a Eucharistic soul to be an authentic Christian. We must be a Eucharistic soul to be an authentic Christian. That's what we need because our souls thirst for Jesus. Our hearts long for Jesus. We yearn for the greatest gift that Divine Mercy has given us, Jesus in the Eucharist.

And that is why we turn to our Blessed Mother Mary and we consecrate ourselves to our Blessed Mother Mary, we give our hearts to her. And she gives us her heart, her desires. Her desire is only for Jesus to be loved above all things. Can you imagine the hunger of our Blessed Mother Mary's heart for Jesus in Holy Communion?

In a few moments Almighty God will be made present here. His Sacred Heart truly beating in a most beautiful and mysterious way. Beating out of love for each one of us. Trembling with love. Trembling with love. Just to come into our hearts to receive that love that we have, the gratitude for the greatest gift that God has given us Himself, His divine Flesh.

That is what we do with our Blessed Mother Mary. And we have to prepare ourselves well for God's greatest gift. And that is another gift of Medjugorje, Confessions! We go to confession to give the Lord everything. All our sins, all our weaknesses, all our hurts. We go there to receive His love, His mercy, His grace, His transforming grace. To heal us and to help us to grow, and live for Jesus and to prepare well to receive the greatest gift. So then we will be truly transformed and give ourselves to Christ and be truly authentic Christians.

That is what is lacking in the world today. To be an authentic Christian is a Eucharistic soul, which means we are called to love. As Jesus says in John 13:35. "They will know that you are my disciples by the love you have for one another." We are called to love. Sacrificial love.

So we just pray now to our Blessed Mother Mary that she will take complete possession of our hearts and prepare us well always to receive this greatest Gift and draw us ever deeper into the Heart of her Son Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. And that we will have a heart full of love, deep gratitude, and just give ourselves to the Lord.

And when we go back then to where we live we will seek the Lord, seek where He is. Seek His presence continually, just to be with His presence, just to be there in His presence. To increase our faith and our love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Because Our Lady always draws the faithful to the Eucharist.

Let that be the measure of our pilgrimage here to Medjugorje when we go back. How close am I getting to Jesus in the Eucharist? Do I spend more time with Jesus? Am I getting closer to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament? Is the desire of my heart increasing for Jesus in the Eucharist? Do I long for Him in Holy Communion? Let that be the measure of our pilgrimage here in Medjugorje.

I would just like to thank you for your prayers because the fruit of conversion is a fruit of much prayer. And I know I received a lot of prayer. And so I just thank you very much, and may God bless you all, and all those you hold in your heart. Amen

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Our Lady appeared on Mt Podbrdo to Ivan on Saturday August 5 (10:00pm Medj time). It was the last day of the Youth Festival. Our Lady's apparition took place at her statue on Mt Podbrdo. Here is Ivan's account of this encounter with Our Lady, as translated from Croatian to Italian and then into English:

This evening Our Lady came to us once more particularly joyful.

First of all, she greeted all of us with her maternal greeting:
"Let Jesus Christ be praised, my dear children!"

Then, with hands extended, Our Lady prayed over all of us. Then, she said:

"Dear children, also today I rejoice with all of you! Again today I ask you to make your choice for Jesus. I see so many young people who are coming back to Jesus again, deciding for Jesus, and changing their lives. Therefore, I ask you to pray, young people. Pray for the family, young people! The Madonna prays for all of you, especially in this time of grace. Pray more! Pray so that my Son may be born in your hearts! So that He renews you! Thank you for having responded to my call."
She then blessed all of us with her motherly blessing.
Our Lady continues to pray for all of you.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Dear Family of Mary!
Our Lady's message to Mirjana Soldo of August 2nd, 2017

Dear children,
According to the will of the Heavenly Father, as the mother of Him who loves you, I am here with you to help you to come to know Him and to follow Him.

Therefore pray, pray by doing, pray by giving, pray with love, pray in work and thoughts, in the name of my Son.
Thank you.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! Be prayer..." (07/25/17)
Our Lady constantly is pointing us towards prayer. And the Rosary is one of her favorite prayers. In the Rosary we repeat, over and over, a request of Our Lady. We say, "Pray for us now and at the hour of our death." We may be so used to these words that we don't realize how important they are.

In the Homily of English Mass on July 25, 2017, the priest told a story that brought the importance of these words we pray into focus. I share it with you today, to help you pray the Hail Mary with more fervor:

One of my best friends, Fr. Seamus...we were in seminary together. We were very good friends and confidants. I was working in Argentina and he was working in England. And I was home on holidays, but the dates got mixed up and I was arriving home to Ireland from Argentina on the day that he was leaving to go back to England. But then I heard that he was going to Medjugorje for a week and I wanted to go to Medjugorje, so I said we could go out the same week, meet there, and have a visit together, in Medjugorje. And that's what we did.
We had some great laughs. We had the opportunity to say mass together. We shared some beautiful experiences together of prayer, of fellowship and of grace. And Seamus was a man who had experienced cancer twice in his young life. He had different problems with his health. He was awaiting an operation on his knee. But I can say that I hadn't seen him looking so well in a long, long time.
So we said goodbye to one another here in Medjugorje. And about six weeks later I got a phone call. He had celebrated the ten o'clock mass in the morning in his parish, and after mass he always had a cup of tea. And they ran out of ink. So Seamus said he has some ink upstairs, and he went. And the time came for half eleven Mass and there was no sign of Seamus. And they began to get a little worried, and they found him dead in his kitchen.
And the phone call was telling me this. Terrible thing. And I don't know why God called him at that time, I miss him. His mother misses him. His parishioners miss him. But God called him home. And I was thinking of him, dying alone in that kitchen. And the awesome reality, "Every Hail Mary counts," came into my heart. All the Hail Mary's he prayed made sure that Mary was with him on his final journey.
And indeed I have met so many people, particularly this week, who have lost loved ones, suddenly, tragically, in difficult circumstances. And I can assure you, and more importantly, Mary assures us that she prays for us especially at the hour of our death. And when we go from this world to the next, she prays for us. And she prays for us now. We don't know what tomorrow holds. We leave the past to God's mercy. She prays for us now.
Every Hail Mary counts. So I ask you to repeat with me: Every Hail Mary counts. And when you are in difficult circumstances and you can't pray, remember all the prayers you have prayed to Mary, and remember, "Every Hail Mary counts." And when you worry about people who have died, remember that we have a great intercessor in Mary, who prays for us at the hour of our death. And we trust in the great mercy of God. And... "Every Hail Mary counts."
And this awesome reality, I pray that it will sustain us now, this day, and always. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen (English Homily in Medjugorje 7/24/17)

Mary TV: August 1, 2017 Reflection - 28th Youth Festival in Medjugorje

  Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament
Youth Festival 2014

Dear Family of Mary!

May 16, 1985 "Dear children! I am calling you to a more active prayer and attendance at Holy Mass. I wish your Mass to be an experience of God. I wish especially to say to the young people: be open to the Holy Spirit because God wishes to draw you to Himself in these days when satan is at work. Thank you for having responded to my call."

Today is the first day of the 28th Youth Festival Medjugorje. Young people are gathering in Medjugorje from the entire world to spend six days of prayer, Holy Mass, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, catechesis, testimonies, and jubilant praise of God together! It is a glorious time of hope and joy, spent in the presence of Our Lady who has inspired this gathering since 1990!

The Schedule can be found at this link:
Mary TV will be streaming the events, live, all week. We also hope to have short testimonies from some of the participants posted on our home page throughout the week. Stay in touch with the graces of the Youth Festival at Mary TV!

I was reading some of the testimonies of young people at the youth festivals in the past, and they are all wonderful. Here is a testimony from the 25th Youth Festival:

Benedikt von Perger: "The Adoration is the most beautiful for me"
Benedikt von Perger, a 16 year old young man from Germany arrived in Medjugorje for the Youth Festival. He said that he is in Medjugorje for the 16th time and is thrilled to see this great number of people who are surrendering to God, but said that the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is the most beautiful for him, when all young people in silence adore Jesus and look at Him - Jesus in the tabernacle. He also told us: "It is so hard to make young people do something in silence because whenever they go out, there is loud music around them and here they are all gathered in the complete silence. I am so impressed by that. I am here every year and this is what fulfills me.
Benedikt says it well. In the silence of prayer, in the Adoration of Jesus, so much happens!! It is a time of transformation of the heart. Let's pray for the young people gathering today in Medjugorje that they will find that silence in prayer and enter into the peace and transforming love of Jesus!

Please pray that the Lord will protect the young people from the intense heat that is predicted in Medjugorje this week. Lord have mercy on these young people, and cover them with your protection.
