The Presentation of the Lord
Dear Family of Mary!
On this beautiful feast day, we remember a special meeting. It was a meeting that the Holy Spirit had arranged. Joseph and Mary brought little Jesus to the Temple and the Holy Spirit brought Simeon and Anna. And this meeting was an explosion of hope!
Simeon and Anna both recognized the Messiah, the great Redeemer of their people in the little Son of Joseph and Mary! They had been waiting for Him for many, many years! The Hope of Israel!
Simeon exclaimed:
"Lord, now you let your servant go in peace;
your word has been fulfilled:
my own eyes have seen the salvation
which you have prepared in the sight of every people:
a light to reveal you to the nations
and the glory of your people Israel. (Luke 2: 29-32)
Simeon had seen God's salvation! It was accomplished! He knew it! His faith in God's word had not been in vain. And he could now go in peace, for Peace had come to earth.
We need to be like Simeon and Anna, those who live in the hope of God's salvation! We need to see with our own eyes the salvation God has sent us in Jesus. This takes prayer, this takes trust, this takes seeking. We must wait and hope like Simeon and Anna, knowing that God will fulfill His Word in our day through that same Jesus.
Our Lady told us:
"Dear children! Also today I call you to pray for peace. Pray with the heart, little children, and do not lose hope because God loves His creatures. He desires to save you, one by one, through my coming here. I call you to the way of holiness. Pray, and in prayer you are open to God's will; in this way, in everything you do, you realize God's plan in you and through you. Thank you for having responded to my call." March 25, 2003

Our Lady is bringing us her Son, and connecting us to Him, so that we can see our salvation. She wants each of us saved, one by one, just as the Father does. May we be open to that salvation. May we seek it. May we desire it. May we all realize God's plan through us. Then we can go in peace, giving glory to God.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
